Rex Rammell of Wyoming wants Federal land ceded back to Wyoming, and he is making that a central issue of his campaign.
The Federal government owns almost half of Wyoming land.
Rammell says there is so much money in resources within the land, the State of Wyoming would have all the money it needs.
Rammell knew the Bundys, and he stated he wished he had gone to the refuge to try and end the standoff.
Federal lands transfer could be accomplished by an act of Congress, by a Republican president’s executive order, or through the courts, he suggested.
The federal government goes much too far in restricting the use of natural resources on and beneath federal lands, Rammell said.
